Well the end of May is staring us in the face so that must mean it's time to post my version of the May tag. ;-) I actually did my companion piece before the tag this month since I needed a card to welcome my new nephew into the world with. (So that is why it might look a bit familiar.)
Here is the baby card:
I had so much fun rummaging around in my stash for all the bits and pieces to use on these. I'm going to enter them in the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #8 - Show Us Some Metal or Glass. I had a lot to choose from ha ha.
Most of the supplies I used for this card can be found at Inspiration Emporium. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE
to save 10% if you go shopping. I will also point out that US shipping
is always $5 and international shipping is just $10! ;-)

Celebrate!!
Yesterday we got to help celebrate the happy occasion of our good friends adopting the most adorable little boy. They will be great parents and have waited a long time for this moment. We are so happy for them! I made a fun Pop 'n Cuts card to give them.
I wanted the card cheerful and fun and not babyish (he is almost three). I had a pad of October Afternoon's Rocket Age paper that I love and thought would be perfect for the card. It's a line from a few years ago but you can probably still find it around. The robot stamps and QuicKutz rocket die I've had in my stash for a while too.
I want to remind you about the Inspiration Journal May challenge "Celebrate!" You have until the end of the month to link up your project for a chance to win $50 to spend at Inspiration Emporium. (A cause for celebration for sure!)

More Reasons to Celebrate
I found some fun new challenge blogs recently, A Vintage Journey (Tim Holtz themed) and Craft Hoarders Anonymous (boy do I need to use up some stash in their challenges!) I made a card to fit both of their current challenges - make something "all about him" and use your hoarded ribbon, twine, etc. I have a friend who is about to finish his Masters degree so I made this card for him:
The "frame" is ribbon and rick-rack stapled together and then painted black to visually unify it and bring out the texture. I think it is also appropriately manly in colors and imagery so it fits the Vintage Journey's All About Him challenge. ;-)
Also, don't forget about the May Celebrate! challenge at Inspiration Journal. You have until the end of the month to link up your project for a chance to win $50 to spend at Inspiration Emporium.
