Hello there! I'm happy that I got a chance to make my Tim "tag" this month. It is chock full of some really great techniques and you can see the complete instructions over at Tim's blog. I made mine into a birthday card for a friend who (obviously) is a big fan of Star Trek.
I'm also going to enter this into the Mixed Media Monthly August Challenge "Get Texty". (Appropriate don't you think?)
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you've had a chance to exercise your own creativity lately. The supplies I used
for this project can be found at Sizzix, Inspiration Emporium or Amazon. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE at Inspiration
Emporium to save 10% if you go shopping there. I will also point out
that US shipping
is always $5 and international shipping is just $10 at IE. ;-)

Compendium of Curiousities 3 Challenge #34 – Layering Stencil: Monoprint
Well, this is it… the last challenge in the long and glorious stretch of challenges based on the book by Tim Holtz, A Compendium of Curiosities Vol. 3 and hosted by Linda over at the Studio L3 blog. It's hard to believe we've gone through the whole book and I think I only missed two or three of the challenges. Woo Hoo!! The last technique is using Layering Stencils to make monoprints. It is one of my favorites. See what I did:
There is more to this card though! I used Karen Burniston's Ring Accordion die so of course there is more to see…
I am in love with these Crazy Birds and all the new accessory stamps and dies that go with them now. They are so humorous and they make me smile. Hopefully my friend will smile too when she gets this card. There is also a latecomer to the party hanging out on the back…
(I couldn't resist getting one more little bird on there!) Be sure to head on over to the challenge post and see all the inspiration the Curiosity Crew is serving up and the other entries. Many thanks as well to the Funkie Junkie Boutique for sponsoring this last challenge.

August Art with Heart Challenge – Choose Your Own Theme!
Hello there! Eileen Hull's August Art with Heart Challenge is up and running and we want to see you dig into your stash and make your old dies and supplies new again with a fresh twist. The theme you choose is up to you! Enter your creation into the link up and you will have a chance to win some of Eileen's dies.
For my Old is New project I used some of Eileen's older dies and created a whole set of decorations for my Mom's bunco group. She is hosting this month and her tables will be stylin'! ;-)
I created a giant decorative die from an ATB cube (because it just had to be done). They have three tables going at their games so there are three table markers – the bases are cut using the Place Card & Flowers die. Her group goes all out for prizes so, using the Luggage Tag die, I also made a set of gift tags to mark the various packages. Finally, I used the Box with Scallop Flap die to make a little box to hold the blank scorecards. I hope her friends like them!
