Scrapping Everyday Miracles Challenge #24

I finally was able to find some time to scrap and I got a challenge done (just in time!) for Scrapping Everyday Miracles. Their January challenge was to scrap a sad moment. I chose Jon and his infamous "pickle face" as the subject. The tag on the bottom also pulls out and has more hidden journaling on it about the challenges we're facing with him. For a twist we had to include a bird somewhere in the layout. I used a "birds on the wire" stamp with a faux batik resist technique. Go check out the scrap challenge and see all the great DT examples and what others have linked up there!

  7. Good for you Lisa, to tackle this challenge knowing it would be so emotional. I am all for honesty in our scrapping. I think that from time to time it's important to pull back the veil somewhat and share what real life looked like for us, the good, and the not so great. It'll be such a gift to look back and be able to testify that God is good, and the He was present through the dark times. We don't always see it when we're in the midst of it, but documenting it like this allows us to see how it fit together for good when we look back at it down the road. Bless you friend xoxo

  9. Thanks so much for the kind words about my room! You made my day! Your piece is ao adorable. I have never heard of a pickle face, but it suits the situation. He is adorable even with his "sad" face. The umbrella man is perfect for this piece.
