Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - Febuary Tag

Well, nothing like waiting until the very end to get my Febuary tag done! I'm keeping with my theme of making the tag itself pretty close to Tim's version and then using the techniques to create a card. This month I decided to make a birthday card for my Mom. Her birthday is on March 17th so that opens up all sorts of fun St. Patrick's Day card themes. (Sorry for the card spoiler Mom, act surprised when you open it! ;-)  )


There are some really interesting techniques that Tim shares for this month's tag. He has a different way of creating the popular "chalk board" look that uses actual chalk! The background technique using stencils and embossing powder is really nice too. Check out the post for step by step instructions.

    what I love most about tim's tags is when people make it their own and not just copy it !
    You did one copy to learn and made an even more nice card with what you learned !
    Your rainbow indeed catches they eye and I love the bold colors on the card.
