A Compendium of Curiosities 3, Challenge #1 - Marbled Paint

Once again Linda Ledbetter is hosting a set of challenges to go along with Tim Holtz's new book A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3! I had so much fun playing along with the challenges for volumes 1 and 2; I'm excited to do it again. I am also very thankful that we have two weeks for each challenge! Whew. This first challenge is using the Marbled Paint technique as found on page 43 in the book. I can't divulge the instructions, you'll have to get your hands on a book. ;-) I made a Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law:

I am blessed to have such a wonderful mother (and father)-in-law. We have great family holiday get-togethers with my family and hubbie's family and everyone gets along. =)

You have until May 9th to link up your own project over at Linda's blog, Studio L3. The "Curiosity Crew" has several inspiring projects posted and you can see what others are linking up. You can also have a chance of winning a $50 Gift Certificate to Inspiration Emporium if you play along! Go check it out.

Most of the supplies I used for this card can be found at Inspiration Emporium. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE to save 10% if you go shopping. I will also point out that US shipping is always $5 and international shipping is just $10! ;-)

  1. Lisa I love your card and I am sure your Mother-in-law will also! I like that you used the trellis framework at the bottom of the card. Colors are great and the little bird is so perfect!
I still need to get my book, so no entering for me! (Enter sad face here)

  2. Lisa...your card for CC3C is so pretty! Love your marbled background. Isn't it awesome how each time you do it, the backgrounds come out so different? This is such a cute card with the arch showcasing the bird and branch. Thanks for joining us at CC3C and thank you for the kind comment you left on my blog. <3 Candy
