Compendium of Curiosities 3, Challenge 5!

Hello, today I'm sharing what I created for the fifth challenge over at Studio L3. There is a lot of inspiration going on over there; I urge you to go see for yourself! The technique covered is Distress Watercoloring as found on page 39 of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3 by Tim Holtz. A friend is having an upcoming 40th birthday so a card is in order:

Lots of texture in this card, it was fun to make. You can't tell from the photo, but I painted the chipboard 40 with Black Soot Distress Crackle Paint - it looks really good  in person and adds interest. I also made another silly card to send to my son at Boy Scout camp. We were teasing him about not showering all week:

Most of the supplies I used for these cards can be found at Inspiration Emporium. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE to save 10% if you go shopping. I will also point out that US shipping is always $5 and international shipping is just $10! ;-)
