Stampendous & Elieen Hull Artist Trading Block Hop

Hello, we are having some fun this week! The Eileen Hull Inspiration Team is combining forces with the Stampendous Team to share some fabulous Artist Trading Blocks with you. Prizes and inspiration await so be sure to read all the details at the bottom of the post.

I received the Steampunk Shoes, Horse & Rider and Leather Flowers stamps plus a super cool embossing powder called "Spoonful of Rust". Hmmm… steampunk western…

I imagine this "artifact" as an antique music box found rusting away in a southwestern ghost town. Once upon a time you could wind it up and listen to it play "Home on the Range" while the cowboy rode his bucking horse. Surely, a marvel of clockwork ingenuity! And let's not forget the hand tooled leather panels on the sides:

"Leather" is embossing on faux leather paper plus antiquing

More exposed clockwork

I explain how to create the side shadow boxes in my Alice in Wonderland ATB post. Check it out for instructions. ;-)

Now, did I mention that there are prizes to go along with this "Block" Party? Three (3) winners will be randomly chosen from comments on all the blogs during our collaboration posts. Then from those three we’ll randomly pick a GRAND PRIZE winner! Two of the winners will receive Stampendous PenPattern Petal and PenPattern Flutter cling stamps. They’ll also receive enough pre-cut, premium matboard from Sizzix to make two boxes of your own, plus some extra pieces for fiddly bits! The Grand Prize winner will receive the stamps as above, a whole package of matboard, AND the Sizzix die to cut your own ATB boxes! Uh, WOW!
If that weren’t enough, eligibility for these amazing prize packages has expanded to include our international fans too!

We know you won’t want to miss a single creation in this hop, and the Eileen Hull Designs Inspiration Team has several members that live outside the United States, so it took a while for them to get their products from us. We need to give them time to post and you time to comment, so the comment deadline will be Sunday, March 8th. A whole extra week! We will continue posting links as we receive them from the Inspiration Team, so be sure to keep checking back. You get one entry for every comment, so you don’t want to miss the chance to leave a thoughtful comment on each project. For those who tend to get lost, we’ll post a “cumulative” link list of links so far on Saturday, February 28th and Saturday, March 7th. Then you can check your progress.

Thank you for stopping by today! Here are the Thursday designers that are playing in the block party.

Stay connected online with this week’s product partners and never miss news and updates from them. Here are all the ways to stay in touch with your favorite “block party” companies.

  25. I love how you made this look like an antique music box. I was thinking about a wind-up I have in my craft drawer. Wouldn't it be cool to put the two together? I'm going to check to see if it has an old time tune. If it does, I'm going to put the two together. Voila!!
