Father's Day Adventure with Topflight Stamps

Have you heard about Topflight Stamps? It's a new online store that is a source for different, unique, and hard-to-find art stamps from around the world. I must admit that every time I see one of the slideshows of new stamps on Instagram my wish list gets longer! Today I've created a Father's Day card (doesn't hurt to get ahead ;-) ) for my husband using the Joy Crafts BBQ Stamp Set and Campfire Die. Take a look:

Card front

Pop UP inside!

The card base is one of Karen Burniston's interactive dies, the Lucy Label Pop Up. I used some patterned paper from my stash and some Tim Holtz dies to set the scene. I chose to use the camping themed stamps from the set and the coordinating campfire die to complete the woodsy interior.

The Topflight Stamps blog is getting off to a good start! Check it out to see designer projects and get store updates. New stamps are coming in all the time. Thanks for stopping by!

Most of the supplies I used for this project can be found at Sizzix or Simon Says Stamp. Follow the links below and a shopping you may go! Some links are affiliate links and there will be no additional cost to you but they help support my art endeavor. Thanks!

I’m sharing a project I made with the Under the Sea and Beside the Beach sets by Couture Creations.

I used the Karen Burniston Rectangle Accordion Die for the card base. Her dies always have a fun foldout or pop-up element to them. A surprise unfolds when you open this one:

I used lots of stencils and the gorgeous Couture Creations stamps to create the beach/underwater theme to the card. Everything came together and layered beautifully!

Now, be sure to check out all these blogs and comment for your chance to win the grand prize!! Thanks for stopping by. =)

A St. Patrick's Birthday

My Mom's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day so I often make her a themed card. This year I made her a cheerful "crazy" card using Karen Burniston's Rectangle Pull Card die. I love her designs! The dies make it so easy to create cards that flip, pop, and otherwise rock in a fun interactive way. This one lets you add a fun spinner element that pops up at you when you open the card.

Card in closed position!

Open the card and… POP!
The card is held closed by tucking he leading fold under the little tab. When you pull on the ends of the card, it opens up and the rainbow pops up into place!

The background of the card is created from blended Distress Oxide Inks (still having lots of fun playing with these!) Of course the Tim Holtz Crazy Collection is always good for creating a humorous card. I love these birds! I added lots of cheerful and colorful diecut flowers with Souffle Pen detailing.

My Mom loved  her card and now I can share it here online because we celebrated her birthday this evening. =) Thanks for stopping by for a look!

I'm entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, Handmade Flowers and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Bit O' Green (lots of green here!) With the fancy folding this also fits for the Frilly & Funkie Challenge, "You've Got to Know When to Fold 'em."

I'm also now on Instagram! (finally!!) You can find me @creativejuicefreshsqueezed if you'd like to keep tabs on me that way.
