Drum Roll Please…

I am very very excited to announce that I've been chosen to be on Eileen Hull's design team for Artist Trading Blocks – otherwise known as Team ATB! What an honor!

What are Artist Trading Blocks you ask? They are 3D matboard blocks that you can embellish and alter in any manner you please. You can swap them, trade them, use them as a way of exploring new techniques… the possibilities are endless. Use the Eileen Hull Sizzix dies (large and mixed sizes!) to easily create the cubes out of matboard and then the creativity begins. I can't wait to get started on creating some, I have a ton of ideas already! Until then, here are three favorite 3D projects to inspire you:

I created a Halloween trick or treat neighborhood using the Artful Dwellings die (and a whole bunch of others!) You can see the whole scene and all the details at the original post here.

This is one of my all time favorite projects. I hang it on my door in the spring and it makes me happy to see it there. The original post has explanations on how I made many of the flowers.

This is a recent project, but one that has been rolling around in my brain for ages! I've been saving game pieces and other bits so I used them to fill up a Tim Holtz Configurations Box. See all the closeups here. I have lots of stuff leftover so it may make an appearance on an ATB in the future! ;-)

So be sure to cruise on over to The Artists on the Block and see what is happening. I suggest following or bookmarking it so you won't miss out on future ATB inspiration, we can't wait to get started. In the meantime, you can also share YOUR creative projects on the Art With Heart Challenge at Eileenhull.com. There is a Sizzix prize package up for grabs and you might be the one to win it! Link up your project there for a chance to win.

I am so excited to see how you work your creative magic with the ATB's...I'm anxious like a kid on Christmas Day to see what you do :)
