This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is Anything Goes! My sewing machine is out so I thought I'd make a mixed media card with a scrappy fabric base.

This week at Topflight Stamps our brand focus is on the fabulous PaperArtsy! Lynne Perrella, one of their designers, is a favorite of mine so I used one of her stamp sets for the main images. The background is a gel print and I cut the card base using the AALL & Create Die Set Counting Circles #38.

In case you don't know what a UFO project is, it means an UnFinished Object! I do have several unfinished projects laying around lol. I decided to complete an embroidered felt journal cover I made in… 2022 ha ha. (You can check it out here.) The cover was done but I hadn't made anything to put inside.
I saw an intriguing binding method on Sea Lemon's YouTube channel – single page binding, perfect for thick pages/papers that won't bend into signatures. I wanted to try it out so I cut the pages out of Sizzix Mat Board.
I pulled out my collection of PaperArtsy Lynne Perrella stamp sets to use for all the focal images. I also used Eileen's Fan Favorites Stamp Set throughout the pages.

Summer is the season for sighting butterflies so I was inspired to use them as a card motif. I love the PaperArtsy stamps designed by Lynne Perrella and this lovely lady from set LPC043 fit the bill nicely.
I cut a mask to fit over the PaperArtsy stamp and then stamped a background image using Trio of Inky Butterflies from Crafty Individuals.

Hello, I had a chance to play with some of my favorite Lynne Perrella PaperArtsy stamps and created this card to share with you today.
I used a double stamping technique with the main image. This is a great technique to have in your toolbox. Take a look:

Hello everyone! I'm filling in over on the Topflight Stamps blog this week and the focus is on the PaperArtsy brand. (Which I love!) Their stamps, paints and mediums are fabulous to create with. One of my favorite designers of theirs is Lynne Perrella and I had a new stamp set that needed to see some ink!
I began with creating a background with Distress Spray Stains and a little pinch of PaperArtsy Infusions Dye powder (Golden Sands). Infusions are intensely strong grains of dye pigment and a little goes a long way! After that I stamped the images and then colored them with watercolor paint. I also stamped in the background to add more visual texture.
