Playing Favorites – Top 3 Eileen Hull Projects of 2023

Where has this year gone? It sure has zipped by! It's time for the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team to take a look back at 2023 and pick their favorite three projects they created over the course of the year. It is so hard to choose! I managed to narrow it down however so here are my Top 3 favorites…

January saw the release of the Scoreboards Plus Frame Pocket Journal Die and I used it to create a forest themed journal stuffed full of woodsy bits and pieces. You can find the whole post and tutorial about it here.

The Library Pocket, ATC Card & Tabs Die Set
was also a new one!

Our theme in June was to create journal fodder using Eileen Hull's dies. That was lots of fun! I made mixed media postage stamps using the  Snail Mail and Mini Slimline & Tickets Die Sets for the bases. See all the details here.

Another great new die that came out in 2023 is Eileen's Field Notes & Specimen Card Die. I used it to make a needle book to use for my embroidery projects. Check it all out here!

Favorite Projects of 2021 Roundup

Is tomorrow really December? Time has really flown by! Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team is taking a look back over 2021 and picking out their three favorite projects from the year. I had fun choosing my favorites and here they are! I'll link back to the original posts so you can go see the tutorials and all the details.

#1 - The Robot Folio Journal
Eileen's Folio Journal Die debuted in February and I created this cyberpunk 'robot' journal to put it through its paces. I was very pleased with the outcome! Check out the post for LOTS of photos and a tutorial.

#2 - Day & Night Reversible Journal
I had an idea that I just had to try out! I wanted to make an art journal that juxtaposed two opposites and I thought making the journal reversible was an interesting format. I used the Pocket Journal Die for the covers. Check out my original post for all the details and tutorial.

#3 - 4th of July Decor
The Vintage Truck and Camper Dies are some of my favorite dies from this year. They are so cute and can be used so many ways! I used both of them to create a festive 4th of July decoration for my house. I did not spare the red, white and blue ha ha. Original post can be found here.

Favorite Things Challenge

Hello everyone, it's that scrappy time of the month again  - the Scrapping Everyday Miracles July challenge is live! (and can I just note that I'm having a hard time believing June has evaporated already. Where did it go??! Must be the heat!) This month we have a really fun challenge going on, called "These Are A Few of My Favorite Things". It can be about anyone and their favorites. I chose to feature my oldest son and his all-abiding love of Lego. He LOVES them! See for yourself:

This guy saves up his money and buys more Legos so we have bins of them everywhere! He builds really cool things of his own design and is super creative with them though. That's my boy!

This is a hybrid layout. I composed the type in Adobe Illustrator, leaving a spot where the photo would go. The twist this month is to use office supplies in your layout so I had some fun with that. For the background texture I wrapped a piece of bubble wrap around an acrylic block and used that to stamp on the background with acrylic paint. Other supplies are used as embellishments - staples, paperclips, shipping tags and a label maker (to make the Lego Love text). We would love to see what you can create with this theme! You have until the end of the month to link up your project on the SEM blog and have a chance to win the great prize our sponsor Pure Painted Signs has donated. Head on over to SEM and check out the details!

Many of the supplies I used for this layout can be found at Inspiration Emporium. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE to save 10% if you go shopping.
