Boy I've been cutting these challenges really close! Another under the wire for the latest Compendium of Curiosities challenge over at the Studio L3 blog. This time the challenge is to use the Layering Stencil Paint Resist technique as found on page 47 of Tim Holtz's book, A Compendium of Curiosities Vol. 3. I can't believe we are on challenge 31! I used the technique in my little nephew's birthday card. He turned four and is a HUGE Lego Star Wars fan. =)
I used the Karen Burniston Rectangle Accordion Die for the card so there is some fun card action as you open it up:
I love how the panels flip around as you open it. I can't share how the paint resist technique works but it's all over this card! Take a peek at the back too:

ReplyDeleteWhat a great card for your little nephew! I love this tech as your foundation for the Star Wars elements. Darth Vader looks very menacing. I'm sure the little guy loved it!
