Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #31 – Layering Stencil Paint Resist

Boy I've been cutting these challenges really close! Another under the wire for the latest Compendium of Curiosities challenge over at the Studio L3 blog. This time the challenge is to use the Layering Stencil Paint Resist technique as found on page 47 of Tim Holtz's book, A Compendium of Curiosities Vol. 3. I can't believe we are on challenge 31! I used the technique in my little nephew's birthday card. He turned four and is a HUGE Lego Star Wars fan. =)

I used the Karen Burniston Rectangle Accordion Die for the card so there is some fun card action as you open it up:

I love how the panels flip around as you open it. I can't share how the paint resist technique works but it's all over this card! Take a peek at the back too:

Be sure to take a look at the challenge over at Studio L3. There is lots of inspiration there! Also thanks to Inspiration Emporium for sponsoring the prize for challenge #31.

Most of the supplies I used for this card can be found at Inspiration Emporium. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE at Inspiration Emporium to save 10% if you go shopping there. I will also point out that US shipping is always $5 and international shipping is just $10 at IE. ;-)
