Anniversary Card with Topflight Stamps

Hello, I'm back with another Topflight Stamps card for you! This week's theme is "Anything Goes". I used the Katzelkraft stamp sets Holiday Quotes and Frogs to make an anniversary card for my parents. The die set I used is Regency Bunting from AALL & Create.

I stamped everything on a gel print background with permanent inks. I added all the little die cut banners at the top of the card and machine stitched across the top of them to hold them in place.

Topflight Stamps – Anything Goes Theme!

Hello, I'm back with another Topflight Stamps card for you! This week's theme is "Anything Goes" which is always lots of fun. I used one of the new robot stamps designed by Andy Skinner for Creative Expressions to create an anniversary card to give to my husband.

Specifically, I used the "Better Together" stamp. (So true!) I paired it with a gel print background and die cuts (Paper Rose – Cog Frame).

Rectangle Pull Card – It Pops!

I have another action packed Karen Burniston die card to share with you. I love her designs. The dies make it so easy to create cards that flip, pop, and otherwise rock in a fun interactive way. I'm using the Rectangle Pull Card die which lets you add a fun spinner element that pops up at you when you open the card. I also got out all the lovely Bird Crazy stamps and dies and made my hubby an anniversary card:

POP, the little bright idea cloud swings up and pops out at you. If I was as cool as Shelly Hickox I'd have a little video posted here showing how it pops up as it opens but alas I'm not. Go check out her fabulous coffee card that uses this same die though (I love it!)

I'm going to enter this into the Frilly & Funkie Let There Be Light challenge. That seems like another bright idea to me. ;-)

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my parents' 45th anniversary! They are such great parents and are such a blessing to me. I'm thankful that we live near each other so we get to see them all the time. I made them a special card to celebrate a special anniversary:

 

I've been seeing lots of examples around the internet of the Window Die being made into a shaker so I wanted to give that a try. It works really well! After cutting out the window using chipboard, I painted it with crackle paint. (A thinner layer because I wanted smaller crackles and didn't want to warp the chipboard.) I glued a piece of clear plastic cut from some packaging to the back of the window. I cut a rectangle of cardstock that fit behind the window to stamp the background on. After preparing the background, I placed strips of foam tape all around the perimeter of the background. Don't leave any gaps or your glitter will escape! I poured in a bit of glitter and then carefully stuck the window front on. The glitter shakes freely in the space between the backing card and the plastic. Fun!

The poinsettias were cut out of white coffee filters and misted with Perfect Pearls Biscotti to give a subtle glimmer. The mini numerals I colored with alcohol inks to accent the color of the maroon mat (which I inked using the new Tim Holtz Harlequin Stencil). I hope you've enjoyed my project! It could easily be made into a Christmas card.
