AALL & Create Cat Birthday Card with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our brand focus is on AALL & Create. Their wide range of products allows for a wide range of creative makes! I fell in love with the funny cat in the Hocus Pocus stamp set and planned a card around it.

The base is a gel print from my stash and I used sparkle texture paste and the Secret Stars stencil to add some see-through texture and glam to it. Watercolored and fussy cut, the cat presides over Bubble Talk die cuts and the festive birthday washi tape.

"Alphabet Soup" with Eileen Hull's New Sizzix Dies

Eileen Hull's new Sizzix Collection is here, and the Creative Team is still busy creating all sorts of projects! For the month of June, our theme is "Alphabet Soup" where we focus on the Nora Numbers and Nora Alphabet die sets. I created a mixed media birthday card for my nephew.

I started off by cutting all the letters and numbers out of heavy white cardstock and gluing them onto another piece of heavy white cardstock. I also ran it through my Big Shot with some of the Page Edges Dies to add "stitching" texture. I brushed a thin layer of Collage Medium over it all to seal it afterwards. When it was dry, I colored it by blending Distress Crayons over the layers and then added a final glimmery spritz of Distress Mica Stain.

The May release includes seven exciting new products:
• The fan-favorite Garden Gate Album die — brought back by popular request
• Five brand-new Thinlits sets
• A beautiful new embossing folder

Here's a closer look at the cards I made for the Hops. The background was created using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical Shakers – Under the Sea #2 set. I wet watercolor paper and then sprinkled on the powders. Very cool! The festive birthday washi tape is from AALL & Create as is the die set I used (Skycrossed Paradise).

St. Patrick's Day with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is Anything Goes! My Mom's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day so I always make her an appropriately themed card to mark the occasion. This year's features the Grungy Birthday Words stamp from Visible Image and a host of AALL & Create die sets.

I stamped the background with Queen Bee Shimmer Pearl Ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. After that, I spritzed the background with Lindy's Rusty Lantern Lime and Steampunk Sepia from the Industrial Chic Starburst Spray Set. When it was all dry, I placed a clean piece of absorbent newsprint paper over the top and ironed it with my craft iron. This melts the embossing powder which wicks into the paper. (You have to peel the paper off quickly or it will stick!) This is a great technique to achieve a faux batik look.

Steampunk Snowman Birthday Card with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Anything Goes".  I made my husband a birthday card featuring the adorable Steampunk Snowman stamp from IndigoBlu.

The base is an inky background made with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays and cut using the SkyCrossed Paradise AALL & Create Die Set. The snowman I stamped, watercolored and fussy cut. He's pretty cute – I'll have to work him into some Valentine cards. ;-)

Anything Goes with Katzelkraft & Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Anything Goes". I created a card using the Quirky Post AALL & Create Die Set and various Katzelkraft stamps. (I love that Robot Cat stamp!)

The card base is a Gel Press print that I stamped with the Circuit stamp and embossed with gold. I stamped and watercolored the robot cat, then fussy cut it out to add to the card.

Fairy Birthday Card with Lavinia & Topflight Stamps

Hello, this week at Topflight Stamps our theme is Anything Goes! I made a birthday card featuring Lavinia Stamps. (Be sure to check out the store for the wide variety of Lavinia products carried.) 

I really love the designs of Lavinia stamps and the ability to build a scene. I also used some PaperArtsy Infusions Dye powder (Slime and Emerald Isle) to create the background I stamped on. I love the intense colors and organic feel of the ink crystals reacting to water.

Katzelkraft Mixed Media Birthday Card with Topflight Stamps

This week our theme over at Topflight Stamps is mixed media so ink, paint, sprays and other supplies are making their way into our projects! I created a birthday card for my nephew using PaperArtsy Fresco Paint, WOW embossing powder, texture paste, water colors and Gel Press prints. That's a lot of stuff!

The bottom layer is a piece of cardstock with some Stone Fresco Paint brayered onto it. I then used some black texture paste through the Short Circuit stencil over the top. While it was wet, I sprinkled on a little Oiled Slate WOW embossing powder onto the paste. Once dry, I heat embossed it.

The top layer background is a gel print with additional stenciling over the top of it. The stamped cats were watercolored and then fussy cut to add to that. A mat and stitch elements were cut using the SkyCrossed Paradise Die Set.
