I have been saving bits and pieces to put in this. I love vintage things and there are all sorts of goodies stashed away in the little scenes. Some are sentimental (like the ceramic figures) because I always liked to play with them when I visited my Grandma's house. I was happy when she gave them to me to use for the project. Other treasures I've found at garage sales which is always fun. It makes me happy to look at all the little details:

Thanks for looking at my project. I hope that you all have a safe and merry Christmas next week. We'll see what other Christmas crafting I can get done to share here. I still have a list of what I want to make lol!
I'm entering this project too into the Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #17 – Woodlands & Tinsel Twine. Linda over at Studio L3 has been hosting these fun challenges based on the techniques found in Tim Holtz's book (this one is on page 60). Go check it out for some serious inspiration. Also, many thanks to Inspiration Emporium for sponsoring the prize on this challenge. You could win $50 to spend at the store!
I am also going to enter this into the Mixed Media Monthly Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I think I hit every square on the board except for Stencil and Ribbon so that is a lot of combinations! =)
Most of the supplies I used for this project can be found at Inspiration Emporium. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE to save 10% if you go shopping. I will also point out that US shipping
is always $5 and international shipping is just $10. ;-)
Your project is amazing and made even more special by the history of the items that you used.

ReplyDeleteLisa...your Christmas configuration box may have been a long time coming but it is worth it! Absolutely ADORABLE! I love the retro-ish feeling of your creation. It's bright. It's cheery. It's so festive and really takes me back to my own childhood Christmases when seeing some of the ephemera and embellishments you've used on the compartments. Thanks for sharing your lovely art with all of us at CC3C. Merry Christmas to you and your family! <3 Candy
