For over a year I have been waiting for this book to come out and it finally arrived in the mail a few days ago, along with my two layouts which have been published in this book!! How exciting! What is this book you ask? It is The Big Book of Scrapbooking Pages and it is chock full of good ideas. I recommend it and not just because I'm in it, lol. Anyway, here are the pages (drumroll please) :
Timely, don't you think? And…
Thanks for looking!

Scrapping Everyday Miracles Challenge #2!
Hello there, we're on to the second challenge of the Scrapping Everyday Miracles blog. Check the blog for all the nitty gritty details of the challenge. But here is a closer look at the layout I created for it, showing an everyday blessing in my own life.
The journaling reads:
My family is such a blessing to me. I am thankful that we all get along together and that many of us live here in the same area so we see each other often. I appreciate their support and help. Plus the boys have both sets of grandparents and their great-grandparents right here. What fun!
I hope you can look at the blessings in your life and create a layout about it. Then post it over at the Scrapping Everyday Miracles blog to share and maybe win a prize! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do!
PS- In case you are wondering how I did the clouds, I printed the cloud shapes and quote on a transparency. Then I used spray adhesive to glue the transparency onto a piece of rice paper. I cut the clouds out of the glued layers and put 'em on my layout. I like how you can see through them a bit.

Father's Day is coming!
Well, I have been seriously lagging on my posting - oops! Oh that crazy thing we call life, lol. Time seems to fly whether you are having fun or not, that's for sure. In case it's been flying for you too, you might not have realized Father's Day is sneaking up on you quickly (this Sunday!) I'd like to take some time to honor those great guys in my life. First my Dad, who is the best father ever. I always appreciate his support and wisdom and "tackle any project know-how". Thanks Dad for always being there for me! I am also so thankful for my fan-tabulous husband who is such a wonderful father to our two boys. He is so patient and attentive and quick to step in and give me a break from them. You are a blessing to us Matt! So happy Father's Day to all you menfolk out there.
The brown dots in the background is a halftone pattern I created in photoshop and then printed out on a transparency, then cut into a circle. The red flowery things are rubdowns

Scrapping Everyday Miracles Challenge #1!
Welcome! I hope you enjoyed the blog hop and now we're on to the first challenge of the Scrapping Everyday Miracles blog. Check the blog for all the nitty gritty details of the challenge. But here is a closer look at the layout I created for it, showing an everyday miracle in my own life.
The journaling reads:
I love springtime and the fresh start it represents. I eagerly await the blooming of my flowers, especially my irises which are some of my favorites. First the green leaves poke through the ground and get taller and taller. Then up comes the flower stalks and the buds get bigger and bigger. I came out on this morning and they had bloomed! The early morning sun was shining on them and it later reminded me of a verse, Lamentations 3:22-23 “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.” I've been having a tough time lately and perhaps not always responding to the hard parts of life in the way God wants me to. But I am comforted in remembering that his mercy and compassion is new each morning, even if I mess up. I am so thankful for his unending faithfulness (and his reminders of that faithfulness.)
I hope you can look at the miracles in your life and create a layout about it. Then post it over at the Scrapping Everyday Miracles blog to share. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do!

Blog hop, Blog hop, Blog hop!
Welcome friends to the Scrapping Everyday Miracles Kickoff Blog hop!!!
Get ready for some blog hop fun! If you have found this blog, you can begin the
hop at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.
I love seeing God in the everyday things he has created in our world. The ocean could be considered a common sort of place, at least if you live close to it and it's familiar. We are blessed to be close enough to the coast that it's easy to visit, yet it still seems special to me. It's mysterious and powerful and it always makes me think of God when I see it.
Now you can win some great prizes by doing the hop. All you have to do is visit each of the DT's blogs for inspiration, become a follower and leave a comment. There are RAKS to win along the way and if you leave a comment at each blog you could win our grand prize sponsored by Sweet Peach Crop Shop!!!
