Have you checked out the October challenge at the Inspiration Journal? The theme is "
In Disguise!" and we want to see you use something in a way that is different from its usual intent. You have all month to join in by linking up your project to the challenge post. You may just win $50 to spend at
Inspiration Emporium! My first project is
HERE and I had so much fun altering the old mailer I had in my stash that I did another one. Here is the original (very ancient) packaging:
I had to use several coats of gesso to cover up the printing and prime the surface. Here's the end result though:

I used a ton of my Sizzix dies from my stash (see the list below) as well as using some new fun things like the Distress Stain SPRAYS!! Oh my goodness I really love them! I was a bit on the fence because I could see their inherent convenience factor but the thrifty side of me said, "Just keep decanting the stains you have into the mini mister bottles. Why do you have to buy more when you already have that color?" The spray pattern is different though and they really are easier to use! I shall expand my color collection of them. I also made good use of stencils and the Ranger Texture Paste. I do like how well the Texture Paste absorbs color, whether ink or paint.
Here are some closeups of the inside parts:
I hope you head on over to Inspiration Journal and check out the
In Disguise! challenge.
I am also entering this in the Sizzix
Halloween Challenge and The Craft Hoarders Anonymous
Happy Fall Y'all challenge.
