Flowered Easter Egg & An Easter Hunt!

Happy Easter everyone! It's almost here. =) I wanted to make another little decoration so I raided my stash of styrofoam eggs I got last year after Easter. (I still have a whole bunch left! Maybe I'll get more done for next year?)

I used the Tattered Floral Garland die and cut out a whoooooole bunch of flowers out of white cardstock. I gave them some dimension and layered them up a bit. I used a strong tacky glue to attach them to the egg (Api's Crafter's Pick, The Ultimate! glue). Once everything was dry, I misted it with some bright, cheerful colors.

The base is a wooden spool painted green with a Tapered Fringe die cut glued around it.  A wooden dowel is glued in the center and the foam egg sticks on it. I added a little jute twine, a memo pin and a little Easter graphic snipped from the Tim Holtz Seasonal paper pad. It would be fun to make a bunch of different eggs like this to use as table decorations.

Be sure to check out the April Challenge at Inspiration Journal. It is called "A Few of My Favorite Things". We would love to see what you create with your favorite things. You'll have a chance to win $50 in Emporium Dollars to spend in the store. There are already some great entries so get to creating!

Easter news flash!!!!! YOU, yes YOU can participate in the Inspiration Emporium Easter HUNT! If you are just jumping in here in the middle, I suggest going back to the blog and begin at the beginning (usually the wisest course of action for any endeavour). You will be directed to various places to search out the secret letter that each design team member is sharing. My letter is:
