Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #30 – Faux Cracked Glass

I seem to have this just under the wire deadline stuff down pretty well. ;-) I finally finished my card for the Faux Cracked Glass challenge over at the Studio L3 blog. You would not believe all the fun projects over there for this challenge! You really should go check it out. The technique is from page 54 of Tim Holtz's book, A Compendium of Curiosities Vol. 3. I made a Father's Day card for my husband (getting down to the wire for that too!)

I cut the bell jar out of clear plastic and used the cracked technique on it. My husband is a big fan of puns so he'll appreciate this card. On the inside the question is, "How did you get to be so wonderful?" I'm all mushy like that. =)

Many thanks to The Funkie Junkie Boutique for sponsoring this challenge. Link up your project in this challenge and you can have a chance to win a great prize from them.

Thanks for stopping by. Most of the supplies I used for this card can be found at Inspiration Emporium. Follow the links below and use my code JUICE at Inspiration Emporium to save 10% if you go shopping there. I will also point out that US shipping is always $5 and international shipping is just $10 at IE. ;-)

  1. Lisa...this Father's Day card is clever! I love how you did Tim's Bell Jar die cut! The faux cracked glass technique is super! Your sentiment made me laugh out loud! LOVE IT! Thanks so much for sharing your card with all of us at CC3C. <3 Candy

  2. Awe Lisa, what a great Father's Day card! Just the right mix of silly and sentimental. And vintage!! I know your huz will love it, I do! Thanks for sharing this and all your wonderful art on CC3C.

  3. That should say "Aw, Lisa..." Darn you, autocorrect!! Then again, maybe "awe" is the right word!

  4. What a great card ! Yes, I KNOW about that down to the wire thing... you are not alone ! Bottom-line ... we get it done and it's fun ... right ??
