Magical Butterflies with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Outdoors". I love seeing butterflies in my garden this time of year so I was inspired to make a card focusing on them. I used the AALL & Create die set Starflight to cut out the butterflies and arch shape out of heavy duty cardstock. I glued the butterflies down first, then, when dry, I spritzed it with water and Lindy's Magicals powders. I really like how it pooled in the nooks and crannies for some intense mica gleam.

The green background is colored with Emerald Isle PaperArtsy Infusions Dye crystals. I also used the Lavinia Laurel stencil to add the leafy texture.

Magicals Mermaid Card with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our product focus is on mixed media and using ink/pigment powders. I have been having fun playing with the Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals Pigment Powders making all sorts of backgrounds using the Enchanted Forest set. I paired them with Lavinia ocean themed stamps to create this dreamy mermaid card.

To make the Magicals backgrounds, I spritzed pieces of mixed media cardstock with water and then sprinkled on tiny bits of the pigment powders. (A little goes a long way, they really pack a punch!) I spritzed on more water and let the powder particles dissolve and flow – letting them air dry naturally. The AALL & Create Starflight die set made a lovely frame for the focal panel and stamping.

Happy Independence Day with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Stars". It's certainly the perfect opportunity to create a festive themed card for the 4th of July!

The background was created with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and Magical Shakers plus some Lavinia Dinkles powder. They all combined with inky goodness! Over that I applies texture paste through the Stars & Rays stencil and then sprinkled on WOW! Caramel Vanilla embossing powder. When the paste was dry, I heat embossed the powder.

Fresh Fish Card with PaperArtsy & Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our brand focus is on PaperArtsy! I chose to use two cool sets from designer Gwen Lafleur, EGL28 and EGL15.

First I spritzed a sheet of Dura-Lar acetate film with Lindy's Time Travel Teal spray and water and let it dry overnight. Then I cut a base layer from a blue Gel Press print and stamped on with the EGL28 stamp set. I layered cut pieces of the Dura-Lar over the background with the fussy cut fish. I used my sewing machine and a long stitch to sew it all together.

AALL & Create Wedding Card with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is Anything Goes! I decided this was a great opportunity to make my son's wedding card.

First I created a soft background using Lindy's Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist - Gossamer Gold. I went light on the mist and used lots of water so it would be a subtle background. It still has plenty of glimmer though and catches the light nicely! I stamped the flowers (Petal Therapy #684) over it with waterproof ink and then added some watercolor.

Mother's Day Cards with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Mother's Day/Spring".  I decided to make cards for my Mom and Mother-in-law. I'm all set now for May 10th!

For the background I used a Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical Shakers set - Under the Sea #2. (I wanted to play with them more, so pretty!) I stamped over the backgrounds and colored in the flowers with paint pens.

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Media"! That means we get to play with inks, paints, sprays and all the mixed media goodies. Fun! I created a cheerful birthday card…

I made the background using Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and Magical Shakers (ink crystals). I love the colors and bit of glimmer in them. I cut the clouds out of a Gel Press print from my stash and the fussy cut PaperArtsy bird stamp has been watercolored.

Punny Valentines for the 14th with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Anything Goes". I'm still going to town with the Valentine theme so I created a set of "punny" valentines like the kind you used to hand out to your grade school classmates. I'm amused by all the goofy puns on those vintage valentines so I made up some of my own to pair with the funny Katzelkraft stamp images.

To make these, I first made some masterboards to chop up for the backgrounds. I layered ink sprays, stamping and washi tape (AALL & Create #52 Blush) and used watercolor paper for the substrate.

Using both the Holey Fun and Quirky Post AALL & Create die sets, I cut the inner sections from the masterboards and a backing of plain red cardstock. I stamped various Katzelkraft animal stamps onto separate paper, watercolored them and then fussy cut them out. My whole family contributed to brainstorming the punny sentiments which I printed out using my computer. It was fun!

Officially Fall Celebration Card with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Leaves" and I'm feeling the autumn vibe. Fall is my favorite season so this card is a celebration of the colors and fall feels.

The background is created with the lovely Autumn Leaves Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays set. The glimmer is so pretty! I topped that with an image (Crafty Individuals stamp Falling Leaves Repeating Background) stamped on top of a background made with PaperArtsy Infusions Dye.

Hocus Pocus Halloween Card with Topflight Stamps

This week at Topflight Stamps our theme is "Fall/Halloween". The season is definitely changing around here! I opted for a Halloween themed card. Topflight Stamps has recently begun carrying mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang and I wanted to make another card using them. (See last week's fall card.) 

I used a Lavinia stencil (Laurel) to apply glow texture paste to a thick multi-media cardstock. When it was dry, I spritzed it with Smoky Sapphire Moon Shadow Mist and water. I loved how it pooled around the texture paste leaves. I also splattered it with some metallic purple acrylic paint. I layered fussy cut mushrooms (Hobby Art stamp set - Fungi), cheesecloth and die cut leaves (AALL & Create die set - Rustling Retreat) over the background.

It glows in the dark! So cool!
